Why do collapsed blocks expand when formatting code?

Delphi 10.3 environment.
I have collapsed blocks (features, regions, etc).
When I apply formatting to the code ("View->Editor->Format source" or CTRL+D), then all the collapsed areas expand.
It's terribly disturbing and infuriating. Is there a way to fix this?
