Why do breadcrumbs misbehave?

The situation is this. The output of breadcrumbs goes through the opencart function itself. I noticed a strange feature, if I go from the directory to each category (there are about 5 levels of nesting), then the path shows well (and url /category&path=1_9_10_11) but if I immediately go from this category to the category that has a common parent (then the url is something like this = category&path=143 ). And the breadcrumbs themselves show only the main page and this page... How can this be solved...

You did not specify the version of Opencart, for the second version I always use this fix for breadcrumbs .
