Why do animations break in Chrome iOS?

Hello.
There is Chrome 74 on iOS 12.3.1. Other browsers on the same device do not have this problem.
In chrome, after switching between tabs, the animations set through transitionand keyframesfirst degrade, then stop working altogether (after about the 3rd switch).
Animations after that do not work in all tabs, including new ones. Only restarting the browser helps, and then only up to three tab switching.
