Why different game patch sizes?

Good afternoon Toaster!
Please, just a theory. A friend and I have been playing different games together for several years and noticed such a thing.
The game releases an update, but the patch size for his PC and my PC is different. Sometimes even 200-300 meters. Both have Windows 10, all updates.
It was noticed in games - PUBG, Fortnite, recent SCUM.
Windows settings are also the same, there are no additional language packs.
