Why didn't the bash script execute?

Launched on windows using wsl ubuntu. It was necessary to run a bash script to load geographical names into the database (MySQL) from here download.geonames.org/export/dump using the instructions from here codigofuerte.github.io/GeoNames-MySQL-DataImport When about 2 million rows were loaded (about 10 million), writing to the database stopped, and there were no error messages either in the console (the script continued to run) or in the MySQL logs. What could be the reason? Database config or something else?
