Why did Yandex webmaster make a page with a utm tag canonical?
Today I received an e-mail notification that the webmaster changed the canonical main page, instead of the site address it became sites utm with the tag /?utm
The rel="canonical" attribute of important pages has changed:
Old value: https://********/ photo/
New value: https://********/photo/?utm_source=google&utm_medi...
The rel="canonical" attribute is one way to deal with duplicate content. If a site has a page that is available at several addresses, as well as pages with the same or similar content, the Yandex robot can count them as duplicates. You need to tell the robot which page it prefers to display in search results using the rel="canonical" attribute. Such a page is called canonical.
advertising in adwords with such a link is spinning
Question
Why is that?
Does it threaten to lose positions?
How to fix?
