Why did shadow copying stop working?

Gentlemen, all hope is on you - I really don’t want to rearrange Windows ...
There is win7, installed more than 4 years ago, together with a computer in early 2013. Everything was fine until the playful hands started combing... I decided to install linux, allocated 300G of space. There were already 4 partitions on the disk, I scratched my turnips a bit and converted MBR to GPT via gdisk. Installation of something did not go, spat.
Windows stopped loading.
Cursing I convert GPT back to MBR. Nifiga.
Cursing even louder, I take out the Windows installation disk, Windows immediately declares - dude, you have problems, let's fix it? I agree, Windows is loaded.
And that's where it all started.
The standard Windows backup stopped working - it crashes with the error "Error creating a shadow copy" and something about the lack of a device. But it's figs with him, but a completely unknown thing began to happen - in _some_ games the monitor turns off and the cooler starts howling in the case, like ... a cat whose tail has been stepped on. And you can get out of this state only by resetting the power supply, the reset does not channel. At the same time, the system works, there is just no image and the cooler howls wildly - if you press the power button, it shuts down as standard.
Gugd suggested that this happens if less than half is free on the recovery partition (which is System reserved). Okay, Google, now I have 90% free there - so I expanded it :) It didn’t help ...
Has anyone come across? Yes, the rearrangement will solve it, but I really don’t want to do it ...

Make an image of the current system, install a new one and check the work in it. A variant is possible when problems with iron coincided with your experiments.

You yourself understand that it’s faster to rearrange)))
According to the subject, no, I didn’t talk, there is only one thought regarding the definition of volumes by the operating system itself, demolishing and reinstalling the ICBM, something could change, you can probably fix it, but it’s a long time) rearrangement 20 minutes + backup rollover.
