Why did Google Chrome stop blocking HTTP downloads?
Google Chrome recently began to issue warnings when trying to download EXE files on the https site using the http protocol - https://habr.com/ru/news/t/487472/
And in the current 84th version of the browser, such downloads were completely blocked.
But now http downloads on https sites are not blocked in chrome. Plus, the warning for such downloads disappeared. Does anyone know what happened and why such a feature stopped working?

Most likely, there was a speech about Mixed Content. Vryatli they will completely prohibit downloading files via http. There are a bunch of file categories where the upload does not require https to check the content for originality. The same Linux repositories check PGP signatures in files.
