Why did geotags fall off on Instagram?

For some reason, I can't geotag a photo on Instagram.
The location attachment point itself is simply missing, although it used to be. I turned on GPS, and WIFI, and set all permissions in the settings (I have Huawei, there is generally a great Chinese firewall with these permissions). Has anyone come across?
