Why did dropdown stop working?

I am working on yii2 and all of a sudden the drop down list stopped working. It works in the backend folder, but not in the frontend folder. Maybe someone faced similar?

See firebug for errors, it's usually related to a js bug.
Did you include any js scripts or plugins?
