Why did Chrome slow down?

Good morning,

as a main browser, I have been using Chrome for quite some time now. And since version 24, it has become just terribly slow.
I tried to play with the settings, chrome: // flags, etc. - no effect.
Brakes are seen on two different computers.

And such problems with chrome in the whole office.
Is it really losing its position as the fastest browser?

Try disabling the flash player built into chrome in chrome://plugins pepflashplayer.dll, and leaving NPSWF32_11_5_502_149.dll enabled

As if, the fact that it is the fastest browser is pure marketing.
I thought this was a fairly well-known fact in the IT environment.

Have you tried the good old trick - clearing the cache and history?
I also noticeably began to slow down after a couple of years of work. I cleaned the history - everything began to fly again.
