Why can the wrong line be displayed during debugging (XDebug + PHPStorm)?

During debugging, with line-by-line execution, the current line is marked not at all as the line it should be. For example, it could be an empty string between methods.
Before that, everything was fine. The server configuration has not changed. Project settings in PHPStorm too.
What could be the reason for this behaviour?
