Why can the command line slow down when running gulp or composer?
Good day!
I ran into the following problem:
When running any gulp or composer command via the command line, even with their banal installation
, the execution of the command can take a very long time (15-20 minutes is easy).
Moreover, the command line does not hang, it reacts adequately to any keystrokes (enter, ctrl + C).
This problem is present in both system CMD and PowerShell.
The problem appeared literally immediately after installing Windows (WIndows 10 Pro - license)
If someone has come across a similar problem, please share the solution because I can’t work.

Maybe a problem with the hard drive? Gulp and Composer use a large number of small files, installing dependencies, and if there are problems with the file system, this can just slow everything down. Try these same commands on an SSD or at least a flash drive.
