Why can't you create your own game?

I'm studying units, I'm new to this business, I haven't studied much, but I think I can create a small and unpretentious game. But when I undertake it, I don’t understand what and how, why it doesn’t work.
I tried to stir up a simple clicker, where the number of clicks that I clicked would be displayed in the text, I tried to stir up mobile phones, but nothing happened, I tried to copy the code, nothing too, very strange.

First you need to decide on the purpose of the game.
Why are you making a game?
If in order to practice or just feel the game development, then perhaps the goal has ALREADY been achieved. If, in order for the game to bring money, then with the background you outlined, you are up to this goal, like the moon. In a money-making mobile game of programming, God forbid 20%.
Using intuition, I can assume that your goal is to do at least something so that it somehow works, shows something and has some kind of functionality. On mobile phones, this is done in approximately two stages:
It is not clear from the question at what stage you have a plug. Start with the first step. A blank screen should run out of the box for you. That is, you just need to run an empty project. Next, you need to understand how Unity works - what the interface can do, what the API provides, etc. Stupidly copying someone else's code is not necessary. You can only copy if you understand what each line and each character of this code does. That is, someone else's code can be considered as an example. And then on its basis to make your own code. And even if you insert someone else's code into your game without changes, you must understand how it works so that it works for you and does not break the game, and does not break itself when integrated into the game.
