Why can't the program make changes to the hosts.sys file?

question I have a program that, when launched, interacts with the hosts file
, but it returns an error (refused along this path)
and because of this, the program does not continue further actions, but simply closes

(the program without a certificate)
how to solve?

Run the program as an administrator, as you need to have administrator rights to edit hosts.

As far as I remember, in home win10 - open, then you will open the host file, and even write, but Windows will not let you save it. Especially if Windows Defender and Software Protection are enabled.

100% with fonts...
5 minutes ago I went to Twitter and saw some scribbles...
They use Helvetica Neue there, and I had it installed on my computer, so I deleted this font from the system - everything became normal.

Run in incognito mode (ctrl + shift + n) and go to habr, if everything is ok - this is some kind of extension fooling

Looks like a font issue.

Is Verdana in the fonts folder? All styles? And if you write to them in Word?

I have a doubt about the fonts because of the green square in the picture. I think by default this box should be invisible. It feels like some CSS rules are not working. Perhaps the cached versions of the site styles were corrupted by the browser. Maybe clearing the browser cache will help?
