Why can't I install the datePicker widget?

I do the installation of the widget as indicated in the instructions https://github.com/2amigos/yii2-date-picker-widget
I drive in the composer $ composer require 2amigos/yii2-date-picker-widget:~1.0
And I get this error Your requirements could not be resolved to an installable set of packages.
how can this problem be solved?
