Why assembler for a hacker?

Why does a hacker need an assembler, just for reverse engineering or something else? Processors and microcontrollers can be programmed in C. And malware can be written in SI.

You don’t have to learn, in short, not a single mother’s hacker has grown out of questions on the Toaster yet, and almost no one writes in Assembler.
