Why are websites increasingly using third party CAPTCHAs?
Hello!
Increasingly, I see CAPTCHAs from third-party providers, such as recaptcha, on websites. What is it connected with? Has it become dangerous to take a ready-made source from the Internet? Any specific incidents?
Thank you.

Third-party captchas are better protected from pickers (both manual and automatic) and quickly receive updates (for example, bases of various proxies, TOR exit nodes and other gray areas)
. It is very expensive to achieve a similar level of service on your own.
1. The solver of a regular digital captcha is written in a couple of evenings.
2. Sometimes you want to detect bots without captcha popping up
Solving these tasks is difficult and expensive, website developers have more important things to do.
reCAPTCHA and hCAPTCHA solve both of these problems.
Captcha services see statistics all over the Internet - what other sites with these captchas are accessed from a specific IP and with what frequency - based on all the aggregate information, they draw conclusions regarding the legitimacy of the user and give a task if the actions are suspicious or there are too many requests in a certain period of time. If you install your own captcha, it will not be physically possible to collect such statistics.
