Why are there too many get requests to the server when creating audio on the site?

Good day, the following situation has arisen:
You need to download 10 audio recordings per page, everything works fine, but the number of get requests sent is very confusing.
For example, when downloading one audio file, one request is sent, when downloading two or two, when downloading three, 6 are already sent get-requests, and I didn’t find any pattern
All audio files weigh very little, .mp3 format, length from 2 to 20 seconds
Please tell me, is this normal or needs to be fixed and why is this happening?

You open the developer tools, network, look at what kind of requests, where they go, what they return ... You think, if you have questions, then you already write here. And with such information it is simply impossible to say anything.
