Why are the files not showing up in the wordpress library?

Hello! There is a wordpress news portal . Suddenly I can't access the media library on the site - it says: "no media files found" (although all the pictures are displayed)

What could happen and how can I fix it? (only backup or are there other ways?) Maybe someone has already encountered this thread
