Why are my snippets not showing up correctly in search results?

Actually the site is already a year and a half old. A year and a half ago and set up snippets in yoast seo. About 4 weeks ago I changed the snippets to more “beautiful” ones, but why are they not displayed correctly (for example, the separator and the keyword are at the end and not at the beginning), firstly, the site completely dropped out of the search results (now the site can only be found by domain, resulting in reduced traffic) and when I change the snippets, Google still shows the old (not correct) ones. Although when you get to the site in the browser tab, the correct snippet configured as I need is displayed.
A number of questions arose: Is it possible to
use words from the “keywords” tag in snippets
Is it possible to use the word from the “h1” tag
And why, after “playing” with snippets, Google stopped displaying the favicon in addition

As they say, kind people, help someone with what they can, I’m in prostration, traffic and income have fallen, I’m stressed ....

Hugo
often makes snippets himself from meta description , unless of course the request is relevant,
so adjust and wait

Hello.
Google 's official help on generating snippets. The answer to your question is the subheading "Why the titles in the search result and the tag on the page might not match".
Second, the snippet depends on the search query. Do you have a full core, or do you check on one request? The fact that the positions flew off - when did they fly off? I do not think that because of the change in the Description, the positions should sag a lot. Most likely coincided with the Google update. You need to look at the dynamics of the project and compare with the dates of updates and implementation of your changes.
Answering your questions:
You can use words from the “keywords” tag in snippets - you don’t need to use keywords at all, not a single PS takes them into account due to the fact that they were heavily spammed in the 10s.
It is more important that in the Title and H1 than in the Description., Desctiption - For people and not for a bot.
Is it possible to use the word from the "h1" tag - yes.
And why, after the “game” with snippets, Google also stopped displaying the favicon - most likely, this is not after playing with snippets, but Google is testing the issue. You can find out if Google has received your favicon by following the link https://www.google.com/s2/favicons?domain=site.com , indicating your site instead of site.com.
