Why are images shuffled on a WordPress site?

Faced such a problem that the images are mixed on the site (really on two sites) on WP. That is, WP can take the background image and insert it instead of the image in the content. Sometimes pictures are swapped, while maintaining the proportions of the original image. It doesn't happen all the time, but regularly. No specific pattern has been identified. This bug only occurs on the iPhone in safari. Checked on PC, Mac and Android - no such problems were found. The customer says that it also appears on his Mac. Has anyone come across?
