Why are images and fonts not being uploaded to GitHub?

Actually this question: there is a project with files gulpfile, package and nested folders
node_modules (specified in .gitignore)
src with content:
fonts
img
js
partials
scss
build with content:
js
css
img
fonts
html files
I send to git, src has everything, except for fonts and images. Where to dig?
At the same time, build has both fonts and images.
