Why are games from the Epic Games Store not hacked?

The question arose against the background of the fact that everything released in EGS has not recently appeared on torrents in the form of pirates. But at the same time, if the game is released both on EGS and on Steam, then it is often hacked and put on the network on the same day. For example, Metro: Exodus can only be found in version 1.0, which was available to those who pre-ordered the game on Steam. Although more recent patches with fixes are available for buyers from EGS.
Are there any theories about why the approach to providing content is so different in different stores?
Has EGS really managed to achieve the conditions under which hacking the game becomes a difficult task?
Or, as with other examples, is it just a question of time?
PS I do not promote and do not approve of the use of pirated products, the question appeared on the background of personal observations.
