Why are emails marked as read by multiple users on the same mailbox?
Good day.
Is it possible to configure the Thunderbird mail server or client so that on a mailbox connected to several users, if one has viewed the letter, the others will not mark it as read?
Answer the question

Because you should not use one mailbox for several users. That's what mailing groups are for.
You can disable it like this https://makandracards.com/makandra-orga/510-thunde...
and how can the server know that these are different users, and not the same one?
there is an oak version 'from the 90s' - pick up mail via POP3 without deleting it from the server. All readability logic, etc. will be stored locally by the client.
Because the mark "Read" is placed on the server and applies to all connections to it.
In one mailbox there is only one copy of the letter, it has only one flag read / not read.
Either you make a mailing list and send out individual copies to everyone, or you create a folder in your mailbox, and the person who reads the letter moves it with their hands to another folder. You can make your own for everyone.
