Why are DNS records of Linux hosts not updated on Windows DNS server?
DNS servers run on Windows Server 2012 R2 and 2008 R2 (primary and secondary).
Two DNS clients in the form of Ubuntu and Ubuntu Server (both 16.04) injected into AD.
Unfortunately, historically, static addressing has developed in the network. DHCP only in plans.
The problem is that Linux clients do not update their DNS records on the server. This happened once - when registering in AD, after which, after a while, the records disappeared after auto-cleaning on the server. I've googled the question a bit, but haven't found anything yet.
How to force Linux to update records on the DNS server?
