Why are add-ons not installed in Opencart?

When you try to install any add-on through the "OCMOD Add-ons Installer", an Internal Server Error error pops up
In the server logs:
500 POST /admin/index.php?route=extension/installer/upload&token=bIFW6qcMpefIiwsNr5mHNbtuf9ymWdbP HTTP/1.0
Tell me where to dig?

dig php logs so the error will be normal, not just a 500 code

And Internal Server Error, and "wrong file type", and zip_open, and an error with localcopy.ocmod.xml, and Site error: the ionCube PHP Loader needs to be installed, and even situations where a module is installed but it does not appear in the list of modules.
