Why after processing png images with pThumb, they increase their weight?
Hello again. I use pThumb to display images on the site. For jpg, gif formats everything works fine, sort of. But with png some kind of garbage. After processing by the plugin, the images increase their size by 3 or more times. It was 50kb became 150kb. I updated phpThumb to the latest version from the official site, but this did not solve this problem. I make the call like this:
<img class="responsive-img" src="" alt="">

I will assume that your images are in png8, and pThumb converts them to png24. For the sake of experiment, try uploading a png24 image and see what happens with the size after resizing.
