Who will undertake to solder the laptop?

Goodnight.

There is an HP Pavilion DV6 laptop with a dead matrix.

I use it as a stationary, connecting an external monitor. But the monitor is picked up only on the Windows welcome screen. I want to force the laptop to consider the external monitor as the main one in order to be able to get into the BIOS and generally reinstall Windows. Communication with specialists gave a conclusion: it is necessary to solder the laptop for this. I've already been rejected by 8 workshops with this question. Who will help?

Peter, Leningrad region.

We had a similar situation on a dell laptop - they stupidly disconnected the wire leading to the matrix from the motherboard - the laptop stopped seeing its matrix - the external monitor began to connect immediately from the start.

Pardon the captaincy, but what's the problem with replacing the matrix? It costs several thousand.

A cursory search showed that you can find a matrix for 2400
Well, if there is absolutely no desire to spend money and mess around, then you can disconnect it, yes.

A matrix for such a laptop costs about $50-$100 if you buy it on eBay plus shipping.
Also, there are buttons for switching to an external monitor, which can be pressed before Windows loads.
Disconnecting the wire also usually works (as advised above), in which case the eprom that identifies the matrix is disabled.
Although, I would replace the matrix - fortunately, it is quite easy to change it to DV6 and the price of the issue is not “8k” at all.
