Who will tell you how best to build an office map?

Good afternoon!
Can anyone help in the search. I am looking for a program in which you can beautifully draw an office local network in the form of a map, where you can display everything that is in the office. Starting with a twisted pair cable and ending with a PC. With the ability to display reports and search for resources by a unique number.
In more detail, when choosing a kakbinet, I would like to see in general what is in it or choose one of the positions, for example, PCs or phones, etc.
I will be grateful for advice.

Absent in nature for a number of reasons:
For physical connections, they came up with a cross-log, for networks - maps, for reports and resources - CMDB in ITIL terminology, and their functions practically do not overlap.
Based on what you want, you need some kind of CMDB (CMDBuild for example).
You can beautifully draw a network map in any editor (even in Paint), it is most convenient in GNU Dia or MS Visio (if you want to feed the guys from Redmond), but you can’t do without design skills in any case.

Without a card, any accounting system can do this. From not complex, ITInvent.
If you can create a map in Visio, it can use various external data sources, and put information on objects into a database. But the task is difficult, very good knowledge of MS products is needed.
