About a year ago, I began to develop for myself a project of a city catalog of organizations with reference to Yandex maps and detailed descriptions of organizations. I managed to get models, set up templates and views, organize a simple search, add a page for the Yandex regional widget, enable paid editing of information about companies by users, and made a link to the robokassa. In the templates, I provided the ability to embed an online store through ECWID. Made initial SEO preparation: META tags, CNC, sitemap.
I even managed to enter 730 organizations, literally walking around the city with a camera in my hands, photographing signs, and then I sat and entered descriptions with my hands, put markers on the map, and did everything right. However, after a month of such filling, I again walked through the streets, which I already considered filled, and noticed changes. At that moment, despair set in that I wouldn’t be able to fill out the catalog alone, I didn’t find like-minded people in the city, and in order to pay someone for entering information, I don’t have and don’t expect free money, and the monetization of this project was not initially thought out by me was. And then he himself moved to work in St. Petersburg.
But since I want to see my brainchild working and prospering, I will give the project into good hands, to the best of my ability I will help in finishing the functionality and templates if necessary.
The main problem is that all the developments will be useful only for small cities where 2Gis has not yet reached.
