Who is familiar with and preferably specialized in algorithms?

I work as a Java developer
At work, I rarely use a data structure.
At the programming championship I saw guys who specifically specialize in compiling Algorithms. Is there anyone here who can tell me more about them. I would like to find a teacher who will teach me how to write algorithms better.

To write an algorithm, you need to know the subject area.
There is no teacher in Algorithms, it is a general understanding of the mathematical mindset and understanding of the subject area. For example, to write a mathematical algorithm, you need to know mathematics.
To draw up an algorithm for how to build muscle, you need to roughly understand biology, nutrition and sports.
Etc.
And the Algorithm separately from the subject area is an abstraction.

A good teacher is books on algorithms. Have you read Knut?
