Who is a 1C programmer?

Hello.
I look through vacancies and see many offers for the position of 1c programmer.
And I have a question, who is this, what is he doing?
Can you advise a resource where one could see the tasks that this specialist performs.
I am not familiar with 1C, have not seen it and do not know about its functionality.
Is it really something complicated that there are so many vacancies for this position?
It seems to me that a person who has programming experience can easily master 1C, or am I wrong?

A 1C programmer is a human orchestra, knows how to program (from the point of view of ordinary programmers in a very peculiar way), knows accounting, workflow, business processes, advises users on the operation of programs and accounting (for example, get a task - set up personal income tax calculation, spend money - find out what it is already implemented and impress it on the customer, teach the customer how to use it)
And yes, it's all alone... no analysts, problem solver consultants, technical writers... and with a salary below the usual code-monkey
==
I advise you to go to ordinary programmers , and do not meddle in this yellow hell.
and although there are very interesting tasks there, you will complicate the transition to ordinary programmers from there

I highly do not recommend this option.
Most of the time, you will have to figure out where the accountant forgot to put a zero, draw printed forms, drive data from xls files back and forth and dream about the opportunity to add your own metadata. As was correctly noted, you will be an analyst and an accountant, a lawyer and a programmer.
Trying to get out of this red and yellow Hell.

In 1C, programmers often go out of hopelessness, because the entry threshold is very low, and the money at the start is good, especially in the regions.

1Sniki are in demand because the distribution of the program is large.
In order for 1Snick to receive a salary at the level of the same Senior PHP, you need to be truly a superman.
And programming is only part of it. You need to know accounting and company management at a level not lower than business users, or even higher.
Otherwise, after 10 years, the salary is at the level of the junior of other systems.
Certainly calm. You don't have to be nervous about anything.
But, having experience in programming will make it easier to master 1C.
However, if you have experience in programming, it is better to develop in other areas and not meddle in 1C.
After 11 years in 1C - I do not recommend 1C if there are real alternatives.

And I have a question who is this, what is he doing?

This is the same vague question as "what does the manager do?". After all, managers are engaged in purchasing, and cold calls, and inventories in the warehouse .... So "1C programmers" can do anything, depending on the place they get to - in some offices they sit in conjunction with online stores (Bitrix, opencarts and other magenta), in others they cut mobile applications for storekeepers and couriers, in others, all the time on business trips and ensure the operability of the chain of stores (connect / repair scales, cash registers, scanners, etc.; deal with subsystems of discounts, bonuses, discount cards, and so on) , fourthly, they communicate with users of the corporate system and solve their problems, fifthly, they sit on projects and, according to the Agaile methodology, close tickets within weekly sprints ...
Read the job description in the job postings. Plus, google freelance sites (there are about a dozen of them) and see what tasks are in the 1C column.
1C has captured a large market share with its programs. And someone should maintain this software - train new users, fix bugs, introduce new functionality.
Even without such experience, too, can. I once had an aunt chief accountant in my courses who wanted to save money on "coming boys." This woman successfully attended a course on the main objects and then thanked me very much - and now she herself knows how to update the program, and draw new printing forms for documents, and create new reports she needs. And this despite the fact that she is a complete humanist :)

It seems to me that a person who has programming experience can easily master 1C, or am I wrong?
Probably not. At least for a person familiar with modern programming technologies (both languages and environments), a glance towards 1C often causes a persistent negative reaction.

Go to the infostart and see what questions are asked on the forum. This will be the average temperature in the hospital in terms of tasks for 1C. But keep in mind that there are tasks that are very different from the typical ones.

It seems to me that a person who has programming experience can easily master 1C or am I wrong?

not right.
It all depends on who wrote the job posting.
and so I support the statement
they can do whatever they want depending on where they go

1C is a platform for enterprise management automation. This is accounting, and personnel records, and warehouse, and workflow, and production accounting, etc. Pretty boring topic for a programmer. You need to have a good knowledge of all kinds of accounting, economics, and understand business processes. Yes, and they program there in Russian (they have their own narrow language). This is not called classical programming. Plus, as they wrote here, you need to work with all sorts of forms and reports. In reality, this is more interesting for the humanities.
There are so many vacancies in 1C, because many enterprises use it. This is especially true in the provinces. There, by the way, as I already wrote somewhere here, such programmers have big salaries, so in the provinces some programmers who have studied at the university go to 1C.

learn Python ... I'm not willing, but I got into 1C ...
In fact, procedures are written, and functions depending on the conf.
If you really go to 1C, then you need to learn ERP, this is the most difficult, but also in demand, and so, everyone needs 1C for bukhs, this is 95% of vacancies.
That is, before mastering 1C, it will not be necessary to understand a lot of accounting, as well as with Windows, SQL and server OS ...

It seems to me that a person who has programming experience can easily master 1C, or am I wrong?

Those who already have programming experience do not in any way ask themselves the question of finding ways for their development, and even more so for the transition to 1C, in which there is less and less programming left.
