Who has worked with FAI Linux?

I would like to try FAI (Fully Automatic Installation) Linux for practice. Their website mentions that he can deploy Debian, Centos, Ubuntu and SciLinux.
Who worked with this piece? Can you tell me which stones are worth it? And what is the advantage over pxe with answer file?
