Please help me to make a program that determines car numbers.
I've been trying to make my own for several years now. Unfortunately, I only know Java since my student days, so the result is the same. How much time wasted, I'm afraid to say out loud, they will laugh. Articles on Habré from Recognitor re-read a dozen times. Shoveled a lot of forums and posts on this topic. The feeling that everyone has had such a program for a long time, and in all languages ​​​​except Java.
The code that is in Java is either partial or doesn't work when you try to run it.
At the moment, I got to character recognition. Determination by SVM gives a lot of false results, sometimes it guesses of course. Finally got Tesseract running... Everything is bad :-(
The C++ code will not work, because I simply don’t know it, and I won’t be able to use or change it in the future (I live in Israel, I will need to train for local numbers)
Ready-made solutions are expensive, for a personal Wishlist, I can’t pay such an amount from the family budget.
For a reasonable price, I'm ready to buy someone's working Java code. If only they taught him to run and adapt to the local numbers.
