Which WM+DE to choose for Debian?

CPU: Intel i3-2100 (4) @ 3.100GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 710 (artifacts)
Memory: 8GB

Tried KDE - more likely due to video card failure it sometimes crashes and slows down.
Now stands MATE - not very convenient.

Here it is not necessary to choose DE if the video card is faulty, but to change it.
And from DE you can try (later) XFCE4.

If the video card is damaged - nothing will help. In general, usually from light DE there are XFCE, LXDE. But I use TDE - they even have packages for debian
