Which web server is better for WordPress: LiteSpeed or Apache + Nginx?

Hello!

There is a question of choosing a virtual hosting for WordPress. The main selection criteria are: performance and high page loading speed of the site; at the initial stage, your own VPS is not planned. The project is content-based and will be optimized as much as possible: compression and minification of everything and everything, caching, CDN.

The choice fell on two hosters, both offer SSD drives, productive servers, CloudLinux, PHP 7.0+, other goodies, even the price is about the same, the difference is only in the web server software. One host offers Apache + Nginx as a caching web server, a second LiteSpeed web server claims to be faster and more performant than Apache and Nginx.

Also confusing is the lack of independent LiteSpeed performance tests in comparison with Apache + Nginx. I just found this benchmark on the official website https://www.litespeedtech.com/benchmark-shootout

Tell me what to choose or how to test both hosters for performance in relation to WordPress.

@Sanes

LiteSpeed in the free version does not support all .htaccess directories, only redirects.
Nginx + PHP-FPM will be enough, but you will have to tinker with Nginx configs. However, like everywhere else.

I can advise iqhost.ru - there is a tariff for wp, the guys have sharpened it on purpose, they are constantly adding new features in the form of cache support and other plugins (w3-total-cache is now new) - you can test ...
