Which web development platform should an old fart choose?

I am a developer specialized in the Microsoft platform (C#, Windows Server, IIS, ASP.NET MVC, WebAPI, Razor, MSSQL, Visual Studio with all that it implies). I want to try another platform with hosting on Linux OS and the corresponding development system (to get away from Windows and Microsoft as much as possible). What high-quality promising and full-fledged solutions in this direction are currently available, preferably open-source ones? Highly undesirable PHP in any form.
The question is not for the sake of holivar, but to confirm your choice.

Node.js for the back-end, Vue for the front, JS 2015 to write for both. All other options will require significantly more training and development costs. At the same time, it will not be possible to achieve a gain in the quality and speed of applications when choosing other tools. only increased time-cost.
