Which version to start learning yii?
Hello
I decided to take up the study of yii framework. Now the stable version is 1.1.14. 2 alpha was released last December. Which version to start with?
I read that yii2 has changed a lot since the first version.
On the one hand, if I take 1.x first, then the training will be easier, because there is much more information about this version on the Internet, and so far there are books only for it. But then I will also have to dig into the second version (when a stable one comes out and a wave of articles-manuals comes out).
On the other hand, if I immediately take up the second version, I will not delve into what was removed from 1.x. But there is less information about yii2. A dozen articles "creating the first blog" and official documentation on github
PS I have never worked with frameworks before. There is only an idea about mvc

With the second, the first is outdated already, and the second is already quite stable.
You can also start with Laravel ;)
I am for the second. In addition, the documentation in a digestible form is already there (rendered into a beautiful wrapper).
There will be questions - write on the English forum in the Yii2 thread, we will always answer.

You may consider using Yii 2.0 if you just start to learn Yii or you do not have a tight project schedule.
Better since 1.1.14.
Stable, time-tested, already having many extensions. Moreover, this is the first framework for you, it will be easier to learn.
