Which version of 1C ZUP to choose: 2.5 or 3.1 *?

Implementation of 1C ZUP is coming. One company offers version 2.5 (they work with this version and improvements to 3. * are too large in terms of their labor costs (it seems like not everything is provided for in 3. * - in their words), but I see on the 1C website that it (2.5) support ended back in 2018... It's

a big company, installing an old version means getting involved with this company in terms of maintenance and finishing (after all, no one around 2.5 supports it) and the subsequent transition to the latest versions (and it will definitely be needed) - will not And as I understand it ,
do not expect support from 1C if suddenly a security hole is discovered that allows you to change account details in accounting entries via modem ( I EXTRACT) and steal $$$ to the Cayman Islands - with 1C bribes-smooth and no responsibility?

What other pitfalls are there in using ZUP version 2.5 compared to 3.*?
And what is the point of this to me, as the customer of this event, and not the very company that wants to implement version 2.5.

PS I understand that this is a spherical horse in a vacuum without details and technical specifications, but please help with advice and direction in the right direction (after all, this question and the answers to it may need to be shown to the authorities). After all, it is not in vain that companies are sawing new and new versions of programs, improving / adding something, cutting out bugs somewhere, increasing security, adding new bugs. And here they deliberately offer to agree to Android version 2.0, while in the world they are already chasing 10/11 versions to the fullest.

To be precise, ZUP rev. 2.5 of the PROF and Basic versions has been removed from support, and ZUP rev. 2.5 of the KORP version is still supported , but firstly, KORP costs 109,000 rubles, and secondly, the level of support is still not the same, that ed.3.1.
We have several clients who switched from ZUP rev.2.5 PROF to CORP, because the configuration was heavily rewritten to suit the specifics of the enterprise, but I would not recommend installing revision 2.5 from scratch.

it seems like in 3. * not everything is provided - in their words

But this point should be clarified what is in 2.5 and not in 3.1, for which it may make sense to abandon the current version and choose a deliberately outdated one.

Since changes in legislation do not arrive in 2.5, it makes no sense to implement it for the purpose of accounting under this very legislation.
Just take a look at the release notes to see what changes were made in version 3 this year, and you will realize that you will have to implement all these changes in 2.5 yourself. Moreover, the quality of this implementation will be lower than in the implementation of a typical solution.
Also, exchanges with accounting / ka / erp will not be kept up to date and you will have to finish them yourself if something happens. Or rather, not to yourself, but to your implementers, for 3-4 rubles per hour.
Today just Belokamentsev wrote an article about this case: https://habr.com/en/post/509916/

Only 3.1
Of course ZUP 2.5 is a good, hard-won configuration. ZUP 3.1 is damp. However, this is a matter of time. You are not considering the introduction of ZiK 7.7)) Although ZiK was once better than ZUP 2.5.

Surprise with a description of improvements)))
Yes, and they missed the introductory part, about an enterprise such as number, industry.
