Which version control system to use for a small Unity team?

There are 10 people in our team. 2 people work with Unity. And we need a version control system that can work with Unity, in particular with scenes. Initially, we used bitbucket, but then it turned out that it cannot merge scenes, so we want to switch to another system.

Unity supports version control with systems like Perforce and Plastic SCM

Both of these systems are paid subscriptions that we can't afford.
I would be grateful if you tell me which free version control system to use with the ability to work with Unity.

Bitbucket - or rather the git that is there - can completely merge scenes if they are in text format. Translate all assets into Force text - somewhere in the unit in the project settings there is an option - and you will be able to merge.
True, there will be no justice for the sake of automatic merging of scenes in the gita. As well as in any other version control system.
So even for the PlasticSCM unit is recommended.
