Which university to go to study as a programmer in St. Petersburg?
Grade 11 is coming to an end and it is necessary to decide on the university in which I will enter. Unfortunately, I know almost nothing about universities in this city, so I need advice. Tell me, which universities in St. Petersburg qualitatively train specialists in the specialties of either Software Engineering, or Information Security, or Informatics and Computer Engineering, and for admission, computer science is required in addition to the main subjects? Points are not yet known, but I think that I will hand over 200 - 230 or more.

The day you enter university, the curriculum is already outdated...
There is much more to do on your own in the field of IT, it will have a greater impact on the future than the name of the university on the diploma.
The employer looks at the skills and abilities, their application to real tasks.
Therefore, it is possible that a person with an ITMO diploma is actually weaker than a person who graduated from a technical school, but who has improved on his own.
200-230 are good scores.
In St. Petersburg, ITMO is considered to be IT. St. Petersburg State University, LETI and Polytechnic University are also valued.
The chances that the teachers will be cool and big pros are not great, although they remain. But then again, you don’t need to expect that the university gives secret knowledge, that after graduating from the university you will become a super-mega specialist. Nothing will change either with the end of the first course, or with the end of the entire training. No need to think in terms of the future, think in terms of the present - become a specialist now.
ITMO is a good university. There is a faculty "information technology security"

Consider the option with the Polytech: ibks.ftk.spbstu.ru
Habré had good reviews on the security guards from there.
IT - specialties in Russia in universities - this is a rather large random number. If we get lucky.
But even if you're lucky, there's still a lot to learn on your own. No teacher will make a good programmer out of you, only you can make one of yourself.
PS If you pass the exam badly and can't get into a good university, don't be too upset. But mathematics will not get so much, and free time will not be superfluous, because see above.
