Which torrent client to choose for Linux?
Which torrent client to choose for Linux? Now I use Transmission, but to put it mildly, it falls short of uTorrent. Here's what I mean: I take the same torrent file, and try to download files in uTorrent and Transmission. In uTorrent, the speed instantly jumps to 5.5 MB per second, and you can see that the file is downloading from many participants. In Transmission, the situation is different, it "accelerates" for a very long time and the speed jumps from 2.2 to 4 MB (rarely up to 5.5), and downloads from several participants (much less than in uTorrent). If there are few participants (3-5), it may not download at all, you have to reboot into Windows and download there (which is not convenient, because my main OS is LInux (Mint)).
So far, the following scheme comes to mind: install Windows XP on a virtual machine (since the laptop does not support virtualization) and install uTorrent (old) on it and download from it to a shared folder on Linux. But I haven’t tried it yet, I don’t know what the performance of such a crutch will be.
