I'm going to launch a multilingual project whose name ends with "...io", so I'm thinking of making the main domain in the .com zone or the .io zone, since the ending matches and it turns out something like youtu.be
What are the pros and cons from the point view of SEO and rememberability of the name by users?

If the target audience is Russian-speaking, then youtu.be will be confused with youtube.ru by ear...
