I am for Redmine, a pleasant system in all respects.
At work we use Jira - paid and paradigm-breaking

try GLPI. Recently, I just wrote an article about basic setup. Information about the functionality is full on the Internet.

If you work with jetbrains products, then take a look in the direction of youtrack . It is in English and paid (but not expensive). But I'm rushing =)

Megaplan is well arranged, but again, a paid bastard

And I wrote about OTRS: habrahabr.ru/blogs/sysadm/125089

Most likely irrelevant. But I also chose a similar solution before and settled on OSticket
. Simplicity was needed. The system was tweaked a bit and still works great.

Of course, I would recommend OTRS, but it clearly does not fit the criterion of a "simple ticket system". You can make anything out of it, but it will take strength and knowledge. Why don't you consider free SaaS helpdesk?
