Which system to choose for online documentation?

We want to issue documentation for the API of our project, but we could not find a suitable service. You need something wiki-like, but without the need to install it on your hosting (preferably).
Tried editorially.com, but there is no way to create an html directory for the project.
Requirements:
* Access restriction
* Markdown support
