Which solution to use for a multilingual online store?

A friend decided to create a multilingual online store to sell his products, and in five languages at once. The acquaintance himself is the owner of a factory for the production of cosmetics, he mainly sells in large wholesale, but he decided to also start a retail direction.
Are there any ready-made solutions for implementing such functionality? In which direction to dig? Install your own CMS (if so, which one would you recommend) or use specialized services, again, which ones?
Personally, I think that there is not much point in the multilingualism of the online store. Is it so?
