Which software to choose for creating a website layout in linux (ubuntu)?

I decided to master the creation of a layout for the site.
Reading a huge amount of material on layouts, the question arose of developing under linux.
Is gimp suitable for these purposes, while saving the finished layout in .psd, so that it opens correctly in Photoshop itself?
Or tell me what software do you use? :)

You can do this:
1. Download photoshop on the rutor
2. Install playonlinux
3. Install photoshop through it.
4. Proof. (I have it so, it slows down of course, but it works)
