Which protocol and server software for VPN should I choose?

It is required to install and configure VPN on VPS. There used to be OpenVPN, but I want to refuse for a number of reasons.
The VPN connection will work with Windows 10 and an Android phone. The VPN server runs on Debian 9. I do not transmit top-secret data, protection is of the level "the shop provider did not know what I was doing".
It is important that there is no need to install client software. It is required to connect with the built-in means of a PC and a phone. Ideally, I would like the connection to be made by itself when the PC is turned on and, when disconnected, it reconnects itself.
Please advise the VPN protocol and server software to lift it.
