Which project management system should you choose?
Good day Habralyudi,
We have a small team (for now) and we needed to systematize the process, because VKontakte correspondence becomes an inconvenient way of doing business. Please tell me what control system (they call it a task manager) do you use and which one could you advise?

I did all my projects in Teamlab. I also worked with BaseCamp.
Timlab is more convenient and free, but the interface is not very fast.
For small-scale tasks in a small circle, we use Trello .
Macro tasks go through Megaplan.
We use Megaplan CRM.Free
In terms of project management, we would have switched to something more convenient long ago, but the modules are finance, clients, employees with salaries and bonuses.
Previously used Teamer. In my opinion, if nothing but tasks is needed, then Teamer or BaseCamp are ideal solutions.
I recommend redmine. Excellent friendship with version control systems, display of each change, a bunch of plugins, etc. Working in a team will become much more interesting and productive. You can discuss each commit separately, the Gantt chart and much more. There is nothing difficult to install.
ps Yes, and skins for every taste. Learn to work with correct and interesting solutions.
Used a couple of dozen systems, but now settled on pivotaltracker.com. There is healthy minimalism, flexible and elementary setup of the working page, control from user stories (but there are also bugs, and chores, and releases). Just what the doctor ordered for small to medium projects!
I think it all depends on the end goal.
If you want to end up with a set of tasks assigned to user "A", related to the release "2.5" in the status "ToDo", with control of features, wikis, and other cumbersome things, then you need something like Redmine (Jira, Trac) . Cheerful thing.
And for a simpler and more understandable control over the project, I discovered Basecamp and am now on its 45-day free period. I'm glad there are no extra buttons. Highly recommend.
If I understand correctly, the first category is precisely task management and bug tracking. Everything that looks like a basecamp is project management.
I would divide it into technological solutions like
Redmine, Jira, etc.
So into stylistic
ones Basecamp, Asana, Trello
In fact, everything depends on a) the size of the team b) on the style of the desire to work.
For example, if the whole team sits in open space and is motivated, then there is nothing (strongly) better than a board with task sheets and a notepad (++ \ ..) with a global plan for the lead :)
As an option, you can also look towards the First Form software, this is a paid product, but flexible enough to receive information on the task pool (with convenient display) and user-friendly business process designer.
We have implemented it on the scale of the entire enterprise (1500 people), but it is also suitable for a small company.

If it’s still relevant ... I implemented it with customers , and I myself use Papirus.net . It is convenient that there are clients for Android and iOS, you can sort tasks using GTD technology.
I don't like megaplan, I like bitrix24 :)
and I favor redmine )
